Burgerville, the Pacific Northwest fast-food chain that is several large quality steps above most other fast-food chains, is opening in Portland International Airport this coming winter. In the review of Burgerville, Michael Stern notes that they are "fanatical about using local ingredients and doing everying in the greenest possible way (wind power, old oil recycled into biodiesel); but the reason we love it is the delicious burgers, especially when topped with Rogue River blue cheese and thick-sliced bacon."

Pretty good fast food burgers. There are several other PDX locations as well.

I'd like to love Burgerville -- who doesn't love a local company specializing in local ingredients -- but I find their burgers underseasoned and bland, although I do like their salads and seasonal fruit shakes and lemonades. Good Dog Bad Dog will probably remain my fast food go-to at PDX.

Pancho, we don't mean PDX as in Portland, we mean PDX the airport!

I think the salads, shakes and other features are the best aspect of burgerville. I like the burgers and breakfast sandwiches as well and i am very happy that the goodwill be available at the airport. Many of the spacesat PDX are quite good food unlike burbank, Santa ana and some of the smaller L.A. airports.
