Wow Bao is a local mini-chain of takeout Chinese steamed bun and dumpling shops, part of the Lettuce Entertain You empire. We're not here to talk about the food. As we left Water Tower Place after breakfast at foodlife, we passed a Wow Bao and noticed that they made their own ginger ale. We couldn't let this one slip by. They make it fresh, from fresh ginger and cane sugar, garnished with a wedge of lime. There's an unmistakably multi-faceted flavor of fresh ginger that is nothing like standard ginger ale. We preferred it also to upscale bottlings like Blenheim, which have more bite but less bright freshness. A more revivifying beverage has never passed our lips. This is extraordinary ginger ale!

This is a great place. Quick, fresh, and tasty. The fresh ginger ale is remarkably good.
