
We hadn't planned on another visit to the Billy Goat during this Chicago visit, but we were just above the pub touring the Tribune Tower as part of Open House Chicago (highly recommended!), which offers, one weekend each year, free behind-the-scenes architectural tours of dozens of buildings around the city, many of which are not ordinarily open to the public. It's sponsored by the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
Anyway, when the tour let out, the chilly rain came down, and we were with Sue's brother, who'd never before been to the Windy City. The Goat seemed like a natural (see the Roadfood.com review). Sure, it's touristy, and once is probably enough, but the cheeseburgers, with Billy Goat beer, aren't bad at all.
