Not up to the long line of hungry people waiting to order Prince's Hot Chicken (see the review) in Nashville? Walk about a block south for the soul food plate lunch of your dreams. Jane and Michael Stern join Lynne Rossetto Kasper on her radio show The Splendid Table to discuss Poe Boy Luncheon (see the review). You can hear the show this weekend on your local public radio station, or listen to the Sterns, or Lynne's whole show, online.

We loved our visit to Poe Boy's back in February. We 100% agree that it is more like walking into the kitchen of a relative than a restaurant.

Bruce & Susan ... thank you for the links to the Sterns' reports on "The Splendid Table". (As I am borderline hypertensive, on my physician's advice I do not listen to NPR!).

And thanks for another opportunity to post this hilarious video about Prince's Hot Chicken, one of my "top 10" Roadfood establishments.

MetroplexJim, I fully sympathize and understand. I permit myself one brief visit to Fox News per week (not including the clips I see on The Daily Show and Colbert). Re that video: a "finale" on the hood of the car immediately after eating Prince's hot, hands covered in spice, well... I know I try hard to not even touch my eyes after!

That video was great! It's nice to know that Prince's could start a self-defense program with their hot chicken as a deterrent/weapon...
