Actually, I can't dispute any of those choices, since this list has 35 entries (random number!). Even Boston gets two shots, which delights me. Have you been to Papa's in Trenton, Bruce? I've never heard of that one...

In fact, when we lived in Trenton, Papa's was our delivery pie, for those times when we were too lazy to drive the mile to De Lorenzo. Actually, De Lo was a bigger hassle than that because it was a real project just pushing through the crowds to get in and out, and the pies' ETA was a rough estimate, so we'd sometimes have to wait there 15-20 minutes. Anyway, Papa's is good, it may be the oldest operating pizzeria in America, there are those who say it's better than De Lo, but in my opinion they are nowhere near the top 35 in America.

I should add that they got the wrong De Lorenzo's. They chose the one on Hamilton, which is good, about on a level with Papa's, maybe a little better, but not world class.

The 35 best pizzas in America wouldn't be complete unless the Regina Margherita pizza with hot soppressata from Il Cane Rosso in Dallas, Texas was included. And, they've got the proper Italian, "Associazone Verace Pizza Napoletana" certification to boot!

Someone take this fellow to Star Tavern in Orange, NJ. He'll be sure to re-write his article.

I am stunned that the Star Tavern in Orange, NJ didn't make this list. It always tops the list as NJ's best pizza. The best, no doubt about it. Also, I believe Joe's in NYC is closed. Keste on Bllecker St (across from John's) in NYC is also great.

These endless "best" lists are just getting ridiculous. I suggest just calling these lists, "a bunch of pizza places (or hamburgers or tacos, etc..) that I like."
And Biff, Joe's on Carmine is absolutely not closed. Still one of my favorite slices in the city.
