Tenderloin
Inspired by a 2003 Gourmet story by Jane and Michael Stern, Ryan DuVall, critic for the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, set out to try (it sounds like he did this over a span of years) the three Indiana pork tenderloin shops discussed in the article: Mr. Dave's in North Manchester, Gnaw Bone Food & Fuel in Gnaw Bone, and Nick's Kitchen in Huntington (they've all been reviewed at one time or another on Roadfood.com, but the only one of the three with an active review is Nick's; that's a Nick's tenderloin pictured up top, from the Roadfood.com review). The verdict? 1. Nick's, 2. Gnaw Bone, and 3. Mr. Dave's, although he liked them all. His story is actually a review of Mr. Dave's.
