The savory crepe of the day at Christophe's Crepes, the food truck that parks on Route One at the Fairfield, Connecticut, library, was brie goat cheese with roasted almonds, a drizzle of honey, and choice of sliced ham or turkey.

I chose turkey, which was a fine gentle friend for the tangy cheese, toasty almond slivers and sweet honey.

Christophe told me that he barely makes a profit on crepes with brie (he uses plenty), but it is a favorite that keeps customers coming back. It was rich enough that I didn't have enough appetite remaining to try the sweet crepe of the day: fresh bananas and strawberries with chocolate or Nutella.

The truck customarily parks in town between noon and 2pm, but not during inclement weather. To make sure Monsieur Ensenat is there when you want him, call 646-596-6879.

It's pretty wonderful: hot off the griddle.
