Food writers often use the word sinful to describe sweets loaded with calories and fat, but here is a candy that is both delectable and virtuous. Torie & Howard's Organic Hard Candy is made with no preservatives, additives, chemicals, or dyes. Its flavors are actual fruit, its colors come from the likes of purple carrots, red cabbage, and blackcurrants, it is kosher as well as certified organic, and it is a mere 12 calories per lozenge. It comes in four varieties: blood orange & honey, pomegranate & nectarine, pink grapefruit & Tupelo honey, and d'Anjou pear & cinnamon. Talk about flavor that bursts on the tongue! It's sold in Peet's Coffee Stores, upscale markets, and by mail at the company's adorable web site.

Thank you. Duly noted (albeit dully written) and corrected.
